First of all I recommend all customers buy the parts themselves so the warranty is in their name not mine. I don't want to have to deal with shipping back components as some customers want their repair done immediately. This way they see how long it takes to get the actual part and learn even with the best intentions sometime they get a bad part or even the wrong part. I have even seen after market screens which do not fit correctly because they are an aftermarket screen. I show customers how to buy parts from the manufacturer for example sold and shipped from Amazon only. Secondly I don't mark up prices on parts I sell which is rare. Some customers tend to focus on the lowest price and usually buy from a third party vendor which can be hit or miss. I have seen used, damaged and counterfeit parts from some online sellers.The Asus rog device looked like it may have more than just a damaged screen by the looks of it. When we take in a device we take pictures and sometimes ask the client to stay as when you remove a broken screen you sometimes find other damage. These are not scare tactics just facts. We no longer give free diagnostics as some customers then attempt to fix the issue themselves and forget a step and make matters worse. We were also giving 20 to 30 hours free labor a week. This is not sustainable for any business.
