All Star Tire & Auto received the vehicle and noticed that the entire front side of the engine was coated / stained from green coolant. Technician found that the top tank of the radiator to have a massive crack in it. We performed a hydrocarbon test to see if there are any exhaust gases in the cooling system and it passed. Kevin and Chris Jr both told the customer that the cylinder head gasket may have been damaged but wouldn't know until the system is sealed. We reiterated several times and advised the customer that the radiator / thermostat replacement may not fix every cooling system issue. Customer was made aware that repairs would be needed to verify condition of engine / cooling system. We made sure that you were informed about the possibility of further damage being done to engine. We were more than transparent about the repair process. We understand that car troubles are an annoyance; that's why we are methodical about how we deal with these types of problems. We did not build it, we did not break it, we are here to fix it.

Hello and thank you for your views and thoughts. My name is Chris Cooper Sr. the owner of All Star Tire & Auto Service. The customer came into my shop after they purchased this vehicle. The customer stated that the vehicle was making noise in the front end. After the customer agreed to the $160.00 diagnostic fee, All Star Tire found that the customer had zero tread life on the front tires. All Star recommended two new tires and alignment. They agreed and the service was performed. After the repair, All Star staff test drove the vehicle and couldn't identify any noise from the front end. All Star Tire also refunded the customer 100% of the diagnose fee of $160.00. The customer wanted All Star Tire to refund them of all cost of the tires and alignment. All Star tire disagreed. To let everyone know, I do respond to every negative review and good review. Not a machine or third party company. Just a family owned and operated company.

Hello and thank you for sharing your thoughts. I was surprised to find out that this was just a phone call and the salesman offered you a better tire for Indiana bad winters. He offered a better quality and performance tire that's an all-season tire, not just a summer tire. Yes, the price will go up the better quality tire that you invest in. Hello and good day. My name is Chris Cooper Sr. the owner of All Star Tire & Auto Service. After reading your review and sharing conversation with the tech and service writer and service mgr. I'll start with a mistake that we made and I'm very sorry for your inconvenience. As all of us understand that we all make mistakes and our mistake was fixed quickly and honestly. We towed your vehicle in and fixed it. No out-of-pocket expense to you. Then you asked All Star to fix your power steering leak and a few days later the new part failed. This isn't All Star's fault that the new part failed. There also could be other issues in the power steering system. Your vehicle is 21 years old and has 200,000 miles on it. Once again, All Star towed your vehicle and replaced the failed power steering hose and once again there wasn't any out-of-pocket expense to you. We offered to fix it free of charge but you refused. You provided a quote from a used car lot. The parts quoted must have been used / very cheap quality parts. To make sure that my company is charging local competitive pricing, I called two different auto repair facilities near downtown AND a Honda dealership. Shop one was wanting to c

Hello Elijah. My name is Chris Cooper Sr. Owner of All Star Tire & Auto Service. Let us start from the beginning on the morning of the 8th of March 2024. Your vehicle was towed into my shop and we had a full schedule, but we still I gave you an estimate of $2400.00 to install a fuel pump and model. My son Chris was the one that gave you the estimate and told you that we could install the parts and there could be a problem with the programing the model on the same day. We installed the parts with your approval and you knew that there could be a problem with the programming. When the parts where install, we advised you that our programing will not be able to be finished on the same day. All Star uses Snap On Programing, in which you must have an appointment to have this service done. The next service was on Monday morning. and you couldn't wait that long. All Star Tire & Auto Service attempted to find you Elijah several locations close to downtown Indy to have someone program your model and no luck, most dealerships are several weeks out to get this service. Hello Mr. Manning. My name is Chris Cooper Jr from All Star Tire & Auto Service. I personally took care of your wife from check in to check out. When she brought the vehicle in and she said that Autozone recommended a battery but could not replace it. I then mentioned how we should perform a diagnostic to verify the battery concern. Chelsea then approved the diagnostic. Then she asked how much the battery would be with the diagnostic, labor, and the part. I then told her it would be $422.92. I asked if she would like for me to diagnose it or just simply replace the battery. She then told me to perform the diagnostic and if the battery needed to be replace to proceed with the repairs. I then reaffirmed the price of $422.92 and she again, approved the service. I am fourth generation to work here at AST and have always taken pride in assisting people; no matter what race / gender. Race and Gender have nothing to do how we conduct business and it is disrespectful to insinuate that is a factor in our business. If you feel like you have been mistreated, then call me. Curtis, We were informed by you that nothing was wrong with your vehicle that you had tires put on a month ago and was advised by the place that put your tires on that your alignment was off and needed to be done. I was very thorough on asking on if you had any vibration and or issues with the suspension on the vehicle. As for only receiving the information provided I saw no issue to perform an alignment on the vehicle. Our technician looked completely over your vehicle to make you aware of any issues after attempting the alignment. I spent the time going over the inspection in what would need to be corrected. I I even spoke to the Tire shop that put your tires on to try to help you, to see if they could reimburse for the damage. Unfortunately we were unable to perform the alignment, due to your suspension and steering rack needing replaced. I am sorry that the company that put your tires on did not make you aware of these issues.

Hello and thank you for your review. My name is Chris Cooper Co-owner of All Star Tire & Auto. After reading your review I personally looked into your complaint like I do all. Appears that you were called by my salesman at 12:00 and he left a message for you to call back. Your return phone call wasn't returned until 2:30 P.M. All Star does charge a diagnostic fee to inspect your vehicle to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive. Due to your complaint on a vibration at 40 mph plus, and what our roads in Indianapolis are like do to the bad pothole problem. All Star inspected your tires and wheels, your shocks and struts inner and outer tie rod ends and upper and lower control arms. We also (road forced) your tires to make sure that your tires and wheels are balanced together. This charge is $18.00 each wheel. That is when we found that your two front wheels had bends in them from hitting pot holes. The passenger front wheel had a big bend that could be bent back to it's O.E. shape, and the drivers wheel had a slight bend that needed attention too. After repairing the wheels, All Star would have also re-aligned your vehicle back to manufacture spec's, that's part of that $118.00 cost
