Hello EE, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Avino has not met your expectations. Our team works hard to maintain a comfortable, well-managed community, and we appreciate residents bringing their concerns to our attention. From time to time, our team schedules unit visits for important preventative maintenance items such as dryer vent cleaning, fire life-safety inspections, and HVAC servicing. These visits help ensure our homes remain properly maintained and operating as intended for our residents. Avino is located in a vibrant neighborhood, and while some activity in the surrounding area is outside of our control, we are always happy to address concerns within the community when they are brought to our attention. We encourage residents to contact the leasing office directly so our team can better understand the situation and assist where possible. We would welcome the opportunity to connect with you and discuss your concerns further. Respectfully, The Avino Management Team

Wil Violago, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Avino. We strive to create a positive living environment for all our residents, and it is concerning to hear that you felt we fell short considering our last interaction in the leasing office. Regarding the rent increases, I understand how frustrating this can be. Due to Avino being built in 2016, Avino is not currently subject to the California Tenant Protection Act of 2019 or San Diego’s rent control laws. Our rates are in line with the market, and we monitor pricing on a daily basis. However, we are committed to transparent and fair practices. As you know from experience, we are happy to attempt to negotiate for you when available. It is always encouraged to contact the community manager for assistance in such matters. We aim to provide responsive and empathetic service to all our residents. We genuinely value our residents’ input and hope to have the opportunity to improve our experiences as tenant and landlord in the near future. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. Best regards, Avino Management Team

The apartment rental price is too high for the square footage.

Hello Eddie, we are sorry you feel that way. Here at Avino we take pride in our community and strive to offer the best luxury living in Carmel Valley, San Diego. We are located in the number one school district in San Diego and have the number one High School in the State of California, Canyon Crest Academy, right in our back yard. We noticed your Google name and profile does not match that of any of our residents. If you are interested in a one bedroom unit, we would be more than happy to provide you with accurate pricing information. The pricing for our one bedrooms start at $2525 for 814 sq. ft and $2830 for our 2/2 907 sq. ft. luxury apartment homes. We stay very completive in the market here in San Diego.
Vehicle towed without signage or notice causing significant inconvenience
Business reply on Google
Hi Denise, We are so sorry to hear that your vehicle was towed away from our property. We quickly contacted the parking patrol company after you brought it into our attention. They made us aware that your car was parked in a reserved carport space and since the car is not registered, they had no way of contacting you however, there was a warning placed on your vehicle prior to it being towed. We have 15 dedicated guest parking spaces throughout our property, and they are marked as “Visitor”. If you are unsure where they are located, you are more than welcome to come in to the office and check with us. Regarding signage, we are in compliance with the current law. We have signage posted at each entry at our property, and also included the parking policy with the lease agreement and other paperwork that a resident receives when he or she first moves in. Please understand that the reserved carport spaces are assigned to specific apartments and that is their only designated parking space. We encourage you or the resident to stop by the office to prevent such incident from happening again. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Avino Management

Hello Peter, I wanted to reach out to you regarding your review. I toured with you and your wife yesterday late afternoon. You had inquired about the apartment ad on Craigslist that had just been leased earlier that afternoon at $3395. I showed you 2 options available closer to your time frame of August 3rd on the 1st floor, per your preference, and let you know the market rent is $3595. The unit that was $3395 was for a July move in only. Best Regards, Kim Quijada
predatory towing practices and management harassment of residents

Thank you for your feedback. We strive daily to make the community a wonderful place to call home, so we are very sorry to hear that you have not enjoyed your living experience at Avino. Based on your comments, it appears that miss communication occurred and for that we apologize. Managing a large, luxury community means we strive to meet the expectations of all residents. In order to do so, the lease agreement includes policies, similar to most multi-family communities, to help ensure all residents have enjoyment of their home. Unfortunately this means sometimes the onsite management team has the tough task of enforcing rules that may have not been followed. However, we try to educate all residents about why the policies are in place and to give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know they may have misunderstood one of the policies. When possible, we try to communicate and ask for a problem to be fixed rather than penalizing a resident whether it be through towing a car or charging a late fee. We are very proud to be part of the Pacific Highlands Ranch community as it boasts an amazing and coveted neighborhood along with exceptional shopping and schools. Again, we
inadequate visitor parking, dishonest staff, and security concerns regarding…

Dear Margaret, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our community. At Avino, we worked tirelessly to select high-end, quality finishes and appliances. Most people love our beautifully tiled bathrooms and upscale carpets. Also, our gourmet kitchens with soft-close cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless steel Whirlpool appliances are usually a hit. In regards to visitor parking, we have designated visitor parking areas throughout the community. The visitor parking area at the North end of our community is often empty, and there is also street parking available on Village Center Loop Road. The reason that a warning was placed on your vehicle was due to the fact that it was parked in our leasing office parking, not in visitor parking. Please remember, this was just a courtesy warning and you were not fined or towed. Regarding staff members parking on the property, in an effort to maximize available parking spaces and in consideration of our residents and visitors, staff members often park in the driveways of vacant or model apartments. They do this because they care, and they want our residents and guests to be able to find parking as
