The shop charged excessive fees for services not performed.

Business reply on Google

Luke, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. Your vehicle arrived at our shop by tow truck in a no-start condition. Before any repairs were recommended, we performed the authorized diagnostic testing to determine the cause of the failure. Our testing found that the alternator, battery, and battery terminal all required attention. At your request, we removed the battery so it could be exchanged under warranty. We also replaced the damaged battery terminal end and later reinstalled the replacement battery when it was returned to our shop. After these services were completed, we were informed that you had decided not to move forward with the alternator replacement. The charges on the invoice reflected the authorized diagnostic testing and the work performed to remove, reinstall, and service the battery and battery terminal. We understand there was a misunderstanding regarding the expected total, and we regret any frustration that this caused. We appreciated the opportunity to inspect your vehicle and wish you the best with the repairs moving forward.

Unexpected charges applied without prior customer authorization or communication.

Business reply on Google

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate the opportunity to work on your vehicle and are sorry to hear that parts of your visit felt frustrating. Our goal is always to communicate clearly and keep customers informed throughout the repair process. In this case, we performed the requested oil change and completed a full inspection of the front suspension and steering components after the vehicle was brought in for a vibration concern related to a bent wheel. Once the inspection was complete, we discussed available replacement options and reviewed the next steps before proceeding. When the decision was made to reinstall the vehicle with the spare tire, that work was completed as requested. Any charges were reviewed and approved prior to payment. That said, we understand how important it is that expectations around communication and pricing feel completely clear on both sides, and we regret if anything felt unclear or unexpected. We value every customer relationship and would welcome the opportunity to speak directly to clear up any confusion. Please feel free to contact us at your convenience so we can ensure everything has been properly addressed. T

The business provided dishonest repair quotes for unnecessary vehicle work.

Business reply on Google

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Baylie. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. When you visited us, your vehicle displayed an ABS warning light. After diagnosing the issue, we identified damage to the left front ABS sensor and tone ring, as well as several maintenance items that had not been addressed. These findings and recommendations were fully explained at the time, and we understood that you and your family appreciated the information and were considering next steps. We respect every customer’s decision to seek a second opinion, and repair recommendations can vary between shops based on inspection methods, priorities, and long-term safety considerations—especially when preparing a vehicle for extended use, such as college travel. We always aim to be transparent and act in our customers’ best interests, and we’re happy to discuss any concerns directly if you’d like to contact us.

Technician failed to replace necessary filter causing engine oil loss

Business reply on Google

We always value hearing from our customers. We did replace the valve cover gasket and fix the leak during your visit in November of 2023. We wish you had brought the truck back to us under our warranty when you noticed concerns, as we stand behind our work and would have been happy to inspect it further. Once another shop performs additional repairs, it makes it difficult for us to address the situation. We regret that your experience left you disappointed, and wish you the best moving forward.

Engine rebuild failed prematurely and work was incomplete or improperly performed.

Business reply on Google

John, you still have ten (10) months left on your 3-year or 100,000-mile warranty (at least time-wise) for the work that was done. You are welcome to make an appointment to bring it back to us, or if you prefer not to bring it here, you can call 1-800-452-NAPA to take it to a NAPA Car Care Shop.

Shop attempted to charge for unnecessary and overpriced engine repairs.

Business reply on Google

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. For clarity, your vehicle was towed in as it was not running, and our testing confirmed a faulty battery. Once replaced, we also identified an engine noise and, with your approval, performed additional diagnostics. The $600 charge covered the battery, testing, and diagnostic time—not just the battery itself. Regarding the engine repair, the oil pump failure on your vehicle requires extensive labor, which is why the estimate was high. We always strive to be transparent and respectful in our recommendations, and we regret if this was not your impression.

Mechanic attempted to charge for unnecessary repairs through dishonest misdiagnosis.

Our shop has an excellent reputation in the area, especially when fixing cars for women, so we were sorry to see that you felt otherwise. I'm glad you found a shop to assist you with your vehicle. We wish you all the best.

Shop refused to honor warranty on expensive vehicle repairs

Business reply on Google

We're sorry that this happened with your vehicle. As we discussed with you on the phone, the part that caused the failure was not a part that we replaced and therefore is not covered under warranty. We wish you the best.

The quoted price for brake pad replacement is excessively high.

Business reply on Google

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with the brake quote for your 2017 Dodge Ram. Pricing can vary based on parts used (OEM versus aftermarket), inclusion of new brake hardware, rotor resurfacing or replacement, labor time, taxes, and the warranty and safety inspections we include. Our estimate may reflect those items and a warranty some competitors do not provide. We can provide an itemized breakdown of the quote to clarify what is covered and where costs come from. Thank you for the feedback; we take pricing concerns seriously and want every customer to feel confident in our service.

Mechanic failed to diagnose issue and installed incorrect aftermarket parts.

Business reply on Google

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration with the overheating and parts concerns. We take parts quality and workmanship seriously and regret that you lost confidence in us. We will review your job file and parts used, re-inspect the vehicle or the returned parts, and if we determine aftermarket components were used in error or our work contributed to the issue, we will provide remediation including repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with our warranty and company policy. Please contact our shop manager at your earliest convenience so we can promptly review the invoice and resolve this matter.

inconsistent pricing and failure to complete repairs as scheduled

Business reply on Google

Mark, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. What you described, including changing pricing, poor communication about timing, and asking for a deposit then not starting the job, falls far short of our standards and we will investigate immediately and review our quoting and scheduling procedures. We would like to make this right, so please contact our shop manager at your convenience by phone or email so we can address this and prevent it from happening again. Thank you for letting us know.

Poor communication and excessive repair time for a simple part replacement.

Business reply on Google

Steve, When customers come in for the VVRP emissions program we explain that we will need the vehicle for a minimum of 2 days for any service or repair. We then explain the way the program works before customers leave their vehicles with us. When your vehicle would not pass emissions and you chose us for your VVRP service we explained that our technician would need to diagnose the system failure by testing the parts in your evaporative system. This test indicated that we needed to conduct a smoke test to find the system leak. Our technician found that your gas cap was no longer sealing correctly. Based on our years of experience, we have chosen to only use gas caps that come directly from the dealer. This is because we have repeatedly found that aftermarket caps do not work correctly causing vehicle to continue to fail emissions. The gas cap your vehicle required was not available locally which meant we had to order it and wait for shipment from the dealer. Once the cap arrived, we then had to drive the vehicle to set the monitors so that we could take it through emissions and get the PASS for you. We discussed this information with you and once you approved the work, we informed y

Shop provided inflated quote and refused to provide written cost breakdown

Business reply on Google

Mr. Lowry, , I do realize you understand what it takes to keep your 1988 Corolla running. When you brought it in for the VVRP program, our team took the time to inspect and diagnosis your vehicle based on it not passing the emissions testing. You felt the repair needed was the catalytic converter which was working correctly when tested. You stated the carburetor had been rebuilt three years ago which means there could be an issue with it now. You also stated that you recently had the oil changed and disagreed when we explained it needed to be changed again because we found fuel in the oil. Our technicians took hours to diagnosis your vehicle which you chose not to pay for because you did not believe what he found needed to be repaired or serviced. When you declined the VVRP program and what our technician diagnosed as the repairs needed for your vehicle to pass emissions there was no reason for us to take more time to create an estimate for you to take with you. This is why you were not given a written estimate based on the conversation there was no need for us to proceed. I’m sorry you disagree with the items our technician found on your vehicle to get it through emissions and hav

Shop refused warranty repair and demanded cash payment for additional parts.

Business reply on Google

I understand your frustration with Andrew's 2010 Saturn Vue having 2 different shops complete repairs. The previous repair unfortunately was not completed to industry standards, not all parts that should have been replaced were. When Andrew came to us, his complaint was that he was still adding coolant with no leaks even after the other shop completed the repairs for that issue. We pressure tested the system which was holding pressure with no leaks at that time. Andrew asked us to look it over & let him know if we found other issues that needed to be addressed. There were several repairs needed & he asked us to complete them. None of the repairs he authorized had anything to do with the coolant system. A week later he called to let us know he was still having to add coolant, but still could not see any leaks. We did another pressure test and this time the system was losing pressure. He gave us authorization to pull the timing cover. When we did we could see coolant dripping down from the top. We explained that the coolant was coming from the head gasket and we would have to pull out the cylinder head. Andrew said to go ahead. This is when we were able to see that the previous shop

The shop charged an excessive markup on vehicle repair parts.

Business reply on Google

Mr. Lopez, I want to start with saying I am sorry you feel the service we gave you and your vehicle deserved this review and comments of our knowledge along with stating that our current and future customers could not trust our work. As you experienced, we disclose and review all repairs needed and the costs before any work is completed. Your approval of both was given before repairs begin. As we discussed the needs of your truck, I offered you financing options to help with the costs which you declined. With your truck being a diesel the parts can be more expensive. I felt the 10% discount that you also accepted was fair in helping to save you money. As you, we work to make a living and I would hope you are able to understand we did not change any of our business practices for these services that were not in place during your previous visits. During this visit your truck was in need of more services and repairs which did add to the increased costs. Thank you, Andy

The shop provided an overpriced and inaccurate repair estimate.

Business reply on Google

Mal, when you stopped in, we already had customer cars assigned to our technicians based on appointments. You explained that your check engine light was on and asked if we could read the code. I was able to take a few minutes with you to help with this request. Together you and I read the code for your check engine light. The code that the scanner indicated was for the manifold. You mentioned that you had change the manifold runner motor, but the code came back. At that time, I explain that from past experience I have found you need to replace the manifold because the runners will stick, however, we would need to test further to make sure that this was actually the problem. I would not want any of my customers to incur unnecessary costs. You then elected not to move forward with the testing based on cost. I also made sure you had the "worst case scenario on pricing" if we were to replace the manifold just as you requested. You and I went over the estimate and you again elected not to proceed based on pricing. I'm sorry if you feel your experience warranted this review saying that myself and my business are dishonest. The repair failed immediately and was significantly overpriced compared to the dealership.

Business reply on Google

Sammy, thank you again for letting us know that us working together was not a fit for you. As I mentioned in other reviews/conversations, there was an estimate given that you approved before the work was completed and the other item that needed repair next was not part of the original problem. Again, I am sorry we are not able to help you and I do hope you find a repair shop or dealership you are happy with for future needs.
