We take pride in offering authentic Jamaican cuisine that reflects both tradition and care. We also encourage our guests to compare our pricing with competitors, as we remain dedicated to providing both authenticity and value.

Mr Dyce, thank you for your review. We are sorry that you received your meals without the plantains. This was due to the plantains not being ready when you ordered and another team member serving your food before the initial team member could add the plantains to your plates. If you are in the area, please stop by as we would be happy to give you a full side of plantains to rectify the situation. Additionally, with so many different taste buds, we found a happy medium for our jerk chicken. This allows us to adjust the spice levels according to the customer's spice/heat tolerance. If you come back and would like to order jerk chicken again, please let us know that you love the spice as we will be happy to turn up the heat for you!

Hi Ms Petty, we are sorry to hear you felt this way about the food. Please keep in mind that Don's Jamaican Kitchen only uses fresh ingredients and true Jamaican seasonings. We do not use sugar or artificial ingredients as such, our oxtail may not have been the taste you were seeking. Additionally, we pride ourselves in serving our customers quickly so that they do not wait for 10 -20 minutes for their food, like they do at other trucks. We welcome you to come back and try us out again as we have plenty of amazing dishes for you to choose from. Thanks and hope to see you soon!

Hello Stephanie. We are really surprised by your review and want to make it right. To start, when and where did you make your purchase? Dons Jamaican Kitchen is well know for our flavors as we are one of very few local Food Trucks/ restaurants that purchase/import authentic seasonings straight from Jamaica. Additionally, Jamaican curry, coconut milk in our rice, beans in our oxtail, and sweet plantain is a must for us. That leaves us to ask...are you sure you purchased from Don's Jamaican Kitchen and not a similar type food truck? We would love to talk to you.
