Good morning! First off, we hope you had a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! After reading your review, it is hard to recall the day you were here. Well, we ended up, looking up your ticket, and found it! It took us a little while to find it, seeing as you were here in October 2024. Not sure if you have heard, but it’s 2026 now! We have had a whole other Christmas and New Year’s celebration besides this last one since you were here. There is a lot of things that can happen to a car in a whopping 15 months. Especially when you take into consideration the state of every single major highway that surrounds us. It is extremely possible that your wheel bearing began to have issues after you were here. Even today, 1604 is still not finished, and 15 months ago, it was, for lack of better words, a nightmare. Bad news for wheel bearings. We see that your stabilizer links were replaced. But we also see that you weren’t here just for clunking, but rather a few different things. After addressing all of your issues, we built you a quote. You are absolutely correct! Usually, stabilizer links don’t take a very long time to replace. However, we follow a labor guide, just like every single oth

The vehicle leak persists after the shop performed an oil change.

Mr. Rowley not sure exactly what response you wanted from the owner you had taken your car somewhere and had an oil change and they didn’t do it properly so we recommended changing the oil. It looked like you had an oil leak around the oil filter or possibly the housing and we told you about it and and notated everything on your work order I’ll be glad to post a copy of your work order on here so you can see it. Not sure what else you wanted us to do? Thank you

You came in demanding John come out to look at your car immediately when John was busy dealing with other customers a very nicely told you it would be a minute. You you didn’t like that and you said were very rude.
Business provided dishonest repair quotes and unnecessary part recommendations.

Good evening, Ms. Bergquist. This is John with Kastis Automotive. I am so sorry that you are feeling like we tried to take advantage of you. In fact, reading your review, if I was in your shoes, I would feel the same way. I mean, $1,300-$1,800 for just a fuse, terminal connector, and a belt does sound rather astronomical. However, when I read your review, and then re-read your invoice, I found that there is a part of the diagnostic that you completely forgot to mention. The whole reason why you needed to have these repairs done. Your alternator. It was shorting out, causing the charge wire out of the alternator to get extremely hot. That is what blew that fuse and MELTED the plastic positive terminal case, thus causing you to need to have the fuse, positive terminal connector, and alternator replaced. Your belt is dry rotting, and could use replacing in the near future. We figured, since we have to remove the belt anyways to replace the alternator, we could install a new belt at no extra labor cost to help you save money. When calling Kia for your parts, they were uneducated on whether we could purchase just that positive connector with the plastic casing, and the fuse, or if they

Good afternoon, Sofia. I'm very sorry to see that you feel this way. Here at Kastis Automotive, we do our absolute best to provide everyone with a wonderful experience. For the past 30 years that we have been in business, we have been known as one of the few honest mechanics around. My name is John, and I am the one who helped you. When you came in, you wanted a "2nd opinion" from what another shop had diagnosed to be wrong with your car. They told you it was the hub that was making all the noise. When you told me about it, I went on a test drive with you to help you diagnose your car (for free) and I told you that it was your wheel bearings. That you needed both front wheel bearings. Meanwhile the other shop, that you never named, told you it was the hubs. You came in and informed me that you just bought your own hubs. I then mentioned to you that we don't install customer provided parts due to our 12 month/12,000 mile nationwide warranty. I also told you that you may not even need those hubs, as the bearings are the root of the problem, and if the bearings come off and reveal smooth hubs (no pitting, just a smooth surface) then you would not need those hubs that you just purchase
Poor communication and rude behavior from the business owner
