Staff used high-pressure sales tactics instead of performing a proper diagnostic.

Before your visit, we discussed the vehicle's symptoms over the phone based on the information provided. When the vehicle arrived, however, the condition we observed did not match those reported symptoms. As a result, our discussion shifted to the findings we could actually see during our initial visual check, which were shown and explained to you at the time. Our intention was never to dismiss your concerns, but to explain why the evidence led us in a different diagnostic direction. We value customer input and vehicle history, but our recommendations must ultimately be based on inspection and verified testing rather than assumptions or requested diagnostic paths. Following a systematic, evidence-based process is how we provide accurate diagnoses and avoid unnecessary repairs. Because we were unable to reach an agreement on the appropriate diagnostic approach, we chose not to proceed with diagnosing or repairing the vehicle.
Mechanic attempted to sell redundant repairs and incentivized fake positive reviews.

John, our discount that we provide as advertised on our website is to provide services 25% less than our licensed competitors and is not an incentive to leave a review. Our 1,500+ reviews we have earned from our 30+ year automotive repair service are real and our customers leave reviews to share their experience with our service and our great pricing. After reviewing our records, we have been unable to locate a customer or vehicle matching the experience described in your review. Because we cannot verify the details, we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly and learn more about your concerns. Our shop maintains detailed service records and customer contact, and we stand behind our commitment to honest inspections and transparent repair recommendations. If you were a customer, please contact us at 614-848-9666 with your name, vehicle information, and approximate date of service so we can investigate and address the matter appropriately.
The mechanic attempted to charge more than the quoted diagnostic price.
Business reply on Google
We appreciate your feedback but we explained to you that the initial call you requested a price for diagnostic for was "just for a leak". When you arrived you provided more information about your condition stating that the vehicle had been overheating for months and we explained that the diagnostic needed to identify the cause of your condition is higher as the time and materials needed for leak and overheating is extended/increased. Our diagnostic costs whether it is the $80 or $120 is still far below our competitors and included fluids also. You did not give us an indication that you were upset with the change in the diagnostic cost when you were here and we also scheduled an appointment for you for Monday. If you would have informed us when you were here, we would have been willing to work with you on the price. Give us a call at 614-848-9666 and ask for Trace or Matt and we can help you and do our best for you.
The auto repair shop is extremely dirty and disorganized.

Jupiter, we do not have any record of your visit with us and while we appreciate all feedback, we feel you may have reviewed the wrong facility. Your statement of us being overpriced is not true, our pricing is typically 25% less compared to our competitors. We have a customer waiting area that is cleaned regularly with many accommodations away from the working shop area. Our shop area is an active work place and it is organized, functional, and maintained. If this review was intended for our facility, please give us a call at 614-848-9666 to address your concerns.

Debanshu, regarding your review you claimed we didn’t perform the service, but we did and even provided photos for you. We conducted many brake fluid flushes due to severe contamination, using over 2 quarts of fluid. We also reconditioned your brakes, addressing issues from a previous mobile/unprofessional repair. Our pricing is always competitive, with other professional facilities charging $150 just to check the vehicle. We informed you step by step, showing pictures and explaining everything we were doing during the repair. We explained why it’s generally advised against using customer-provided parts due to potential warranty issues. This is typical across the industry. We also discussed the cost comparison with the previous mechanic, confirming our prices were still lower. Additionally, we also answered other questions that you had as part of our own customer service standards. We would love to discuss this further with you if you could call us at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value all feedback as it helps us continually improve our services. However, there appear to be several inaccuracies in your review that we need to address. When you first brought in your vehicle, you emphasized your primary concern: ensuring your son's safety. We share this priority. Upon inspection, we discovered serious issues with your brake system, particularly a seized driver's side rear caliper that had damaged other components. Our recommendation to replace both rear calipers was to ensure even, safe braking—a professional suggestion with your son's safety in mind. You questioned our diagnosis, which is your right as a consumer. In response, we invited you to see the issues firsthand. When you couldn't make it, we sent pictures and videos to clearly show our findings. This is standard practice for us, as we believe in full transparency. There's a clear discrepancy in your review regarding pricing. The figures you've stated do not match the estimate we provided to you, both verbally during our phone conversation and in writing. We stand by our quoted prices and encourage you to refer back to your written estimate, wh
Mechanic installed incorrect part causing vehicle failure and refused full refund.

I think you are reviewing the wrong shop. We have no record of your name or vehicle in our system. We have reported this review with Google.
The mechanic refused to accept the vehicle for scheduled service.
Business reply on Google
We are sorry you feel this way but you have to understand that things changed from your first phone call to when you showed up with your car. First it started as you having a battery you wanted us to install for you which we gave you our minimum cost but then when you brought the car you had taken the battery back. As soon as you showed up without the battery that meant we would have to go through our diagnostics to make sure we know what was wrong with your vehicle. We ask the questions that we do so we can be as thorough as possible when we work on our cars. We didn't get a chance to work on yours, but we always want to guarantee our work and that's what we were trying to do here.

First and foremost, we want to acknowledge that we did not service your vehicle, and we did not charge you for the inspection. We appreciate your willingness to bring your car to us based on your previous experience with us, and we regret that your recent visit did not meet your expectations. Regarding your vehicle's inspection, we understand that Matt shared some insights and recommendations. Our intentions are always to provide helpful information about your vehicle's condition with our aim being to keep our customers informed about their vehicle's maintenance needs. Despite our initial intent to work on your vehicle, we understand that you chose to seek service elsewhere, and we respect your decision. If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Inconsistent diagnostic fee quotes provided by different staff members.
Business reply on Google
We apologize for any confusion but our diagnostic fee can be up to $120 depending on how in depth we have to be based on the initial description of the problem. When you called the first time we didn’t know what was wrong with your car so it was difficult to give you an accurate fee. We always want to make sure we find the problem and repair it the right way. We don’t take any shortcuts and always want to be 100% sure with our diagnostics and take our time to properly assess the problems. We never got a chance to work on your car but let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Mechanic refused to perform requested repairs after charging for diagnostic services.
Business reply on Google
We're sorry we weren't able to help you the way you wanted us to but after an initial visual check and moving your car we noticed more issues than originally mentioned. We didn't want to charge you our diagnostic fee knowing that we would direct you to the dealership because of the additional warning power and engine messages on the dashboard display when we moved your car from our parking lot into our bay. We were very upfront with you over the phone as to why we didn’t check your car because of the other underlying issues and suggested the dealer would be a better option based on the messages we were seeing. We understand that there are many locations to get free error codes to read but those don’t always tell the complete story of your vehicle. We have over 35 years of experience as a mechanic and we take into account the make, model, mileage, and history of your car before starting a repair.
Mechanic used high-pressure sales tactics and unauthorized service charges.
Business reply on Google
We are sorry you feel this way but our $80 diagnostic fee is not forced or a hidden fee when you bring your car in. The diagnostic fee is taken out of any future repair, we have your records and will honor that no matter when you come back. You informed us that your brakes were making a noise so we checked them and your fluids. Your brakes didn't need changing, we could have easily gone ahead and changed your brakes even though you didn't need to. We always want to be honest with our customers and make the repairs that are necessary and on your visit adding oil was the necessary repair. You had low oil levels and it wouldn't have sit well with us if you left with little to no oil in your car and run the risk of damaging your engine. We take our customer satisfaction seriously and would love to talk to you to see how we can make this better. Please call us at (614) 848-9666, Matt.
The business provided overpriced quotes and threatened the customer.
Business reply on Google
Andre, we do not have a record of ever working on your car. We always need to bring the car in so we can take a look at it for a more precise estimate. We don't just patch the pipe we will replace it. We take our repairs seriously and want to make sure your car is fixed right the first time. It is too bad you cannot trust us when we didn’t even look at your vehicle.
The business charges a mandatory diagnostic fee and exhibits unprofessional behavior.
Business reply on Google
We do charge a diagnostic fee of $80 that is always quoted. When you get the work done on your vehicle, that $80 goes toward the amount of the repair. You don’t pay an additional $80. We’re disappointed this caused you to leave us a 1-star review. This is more confusing because all of our interactions were over the phone.
Mechanic failed to properly repair frozen windshield washer fluid lines.
Business reply on Google
Jesus, you came to us on 12/30/2017 during a very cold week here in Columbus with a frozen windshield washer system and it was restricted. We applied heat to your entire washer fluid system, all the hoses and the washer fluid tank to thaw it out and it was working when you left our shop. We can't control the weather or the fact it could refreeze again in the cold weather. We are sorry you feel the way you do but are glad to hear you made it back home safely.
Mechanic refused to provide a clear price estimate for repairs.
Business reply on Google
Aden, we appreciate your feedback but you have to understand we have to look at the car to know exactly what it needs. We can't go off of what another mechanic told you without a proper written diagnostic. We waive the diagnostic fee if you compelete the repair at our shop and want to make sure your car is fixed right the first time.
Mechanic caused additional vehicle damage and performed unnecessary repairs.
Business reply on Google
Jon, thank you for your review and I hope everything is taken care of with your vehicle. When you came into our shop we ran our diagnostic on your vehicle and clearly listed everything that came up on the report, even let you know your wipers didn’t work when you brought the car in not after you left like you state in your review. After reviewing the initial invoice with the repairs needed you asked us to only work on the clutch. As for the price, we did provide you with a range because it is hard to give an accurate estimate without pulling the transmission and seeing everything that is going on with the car. We have so many reviews of people complimenting us on our honesty and that is all we were with you. We are sorry you feel the way that you do and in no way break things while trying to repair our customers’ vehicles.
Mechanic provided poor quality repairs and left the vehicle interior dirty.
Business reply on Google
Thank you for rating our repair shop with 5 stars. (5/6/2016) 10/11/2016 - Yuanxin, it is unfortunate that your 5 star review has now become a 1 star. You stated the battery cover was broken. We don't remember having any issues with battery cover and you didn't voice a concern with us. The catalytic converter we replaced was brand new. We would never install damaged parts into a vehicle we are working on. We don't know if the dent occurred while driving or not but we can assure you we only use new parts when fixing our customers' cars. We sincerely apologize for the dirty steering wheel and shift knob, we get busy and know your time is important to you and in our effort to provide service in a timely manner, we overlooked this. Again, we are sorry for this. We are very competitively priced and always try to give our customers a lower price than the dealership. In over 7 months and 6-7 visits, NO concern was expressed to us. Please, feel free to contact us to see what we can do to make this situation better.
