Mrs Jones The $50.00 is the labor charge to perform the actual oil change service. The technician that performed your oil change is an ASE Master Technician with over 40 years experience. We specialize in automotive repair. If you are looking for "cheap oil change" Jiffy Lube and Walmart is your best bet. Our prices are clearly posted in the office digital menu board. As far as the your statement about what the gentleman said we are family owned and operated and that gentleman is one of the owners son's. That comment was never said.
Excessive four week wait time for brake repair services.
Business reply on Google
Dear Timothy, It's not that the job takes 4 weeks, it was 4 weeks until we were able to get you in for the service. We've been pretty busy and booked out for weeks at a time. I am glad you were able to to get it taken care of. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Happy Holidays.

mechanic provided a false diagnosis to avoid performing the inspection

Rachel, As a courtesy we didn't want to charge you for a potentially failed inspection. As Master ACE Certified mechanics with over 40 years of experience you can hear an exhaust leak when a cold engine is started. Once the vehicle is driven for a reasonable amount of time the engine will warm the exhaust manifolds and it can quiet an exhaust leak with the heat of the expanded metal. This may be the case with your vehicle. I am sorry you felt neglected but at the same time glad you were able to drive the vehicle for a while before having it inspected somewhere else as this most likely temporarily masked an underlying exhaust leak that your vehicle most surely has. I appreciate your feedback and hope that if your exhaust gives you issues in the future you will consider updating your post. Regards, John Escalante
Vehicle repair failed and caused a breakdown after excessive billing.

Mr. Severn We are sorry to hear you had a problem on the road. We do offer a 1 year 12k mile warranty on repairs performed by us. If you would have called we could have taken a look at your vehicle at no charge to see if the parts we installed from the manufacture were defective. As far as your other concerns I reviewed the form you filled out at the time you dropped the vehicle for service service as well as our “technician notes” during and after the repair. Because we are a small independent shop we document all aspects of vehicle repair from beginning to end. The following is what I recall and documented: You mentioned you had already been working on the vehicle yourself and replaced the MAF sensor and cleaned the throttle body with no luck on improving the engine performance. When we initially looked at the vehicle we noted that the vehicle had little to no maintenance previously judging by the engine compartment and condition of vehicle. Being a 17 years old car with 193,000+ miles when we performed the original diagnosis, the vehicle would not stay running and would not idle and the check engine light was on. When we scanned the engine computer it had 2 codes P0300 Random Cy
Staff failed to enter vehicle inspection data correctly into the system.

One Zerooneman Yes the first inspection was entered in wrong. We are sorry for that. Being a 1980 Porsche they do not have today's 17 digit characters VIN number . Vintage cars only have 10 digits. The 2nd and 3rd were entered in correctly the State computer enters a “1” before the license plate indicating this vehicle has already been inspected this inspection cycle. This will print out on the form you receive. But it will not affect the registration, license plate number or renewal process. I verified this with the DPS officer that monitors our station so this problem does not occur again. Hope this clears up any confusion. Regards, Raul's Automotive Inc.

Mrs. Keahna When your husband called he said it was an older Lexus and I quote with “MAJOR OIL LEAK” he said it had over 200k miles. When vehicles having oil leaks that bad as your husband described, in our experience the engine piston rings are not sealing and creating whats called “blow by” basically the engine crankcase is creating back pressure No gasket or silicone will stop the leak. The pressure will escape from the weakest point in the engine. We are an honest shop and did not want to sell you gaskets or any type of repair knowing it could possibly start leaking from somewhere else soon after, we would be doing you a disservice. That being said this was a call-in quote and we never diagnosed the vehicles oil leak. We were just going by what your husband explained to us at time of the call. Please consider our prospective and leave feed back accordingly regards , Raul's Automotive Inc.
