Vehicle stopped starting after being brought in for service.

Business reply on Google

We would like to clarify that your vehicle was only on the lift for approximately 10 minutes. During that time, we parked it, lifted it for inspection, and then lowered it back down. No repairs or mechanical work were performed. You came in specifically to have the catalytic converter checked. No carburetor service was performed, and no components related to starting or fuel delivery were removed or serviced during the visit. The hood was not even lifted. After the vehicle was lowered, the no-crank condition occurred. Unfortunately, issues such as a weak battery, starter failure, or electrical problems can happen unexpectedly and are not related to simply lifting the vehicle for inspection.

failed repair of check engine light

Business reply on Google

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate you sharing your experience. When your vehicle first came in for the check engine light, we performed the repair based on the diagnostic trouble codes and symptoms present at that time. Sometimes, especially with complex systems, a check engine light can return due to an underlying or secondary issue that was not active during the initial visit. When you returned, we did our best to reassess the vehicle based on the information available. We also want to clarify that automotive diagnostics and repairs are not determined by gender, but by proper testing procedures and equipment. Our goal is always to provide accurate and professional service to every customer.

Shop failed to diagnose vehicle correctly after multiple repair attempts

Business reply on Google

We take accusations of dishonesty and taking advantage of anyone — especially women — very seriously. At no point was your niece treated differently, misled, or pressured into unnecessary repairs. When the vehicle first came in with code P0430, the catalytic converter replacement was performed based on the diagnostic data present at that time. As you know, catalyst efficiency codes can sometimes return due to multiple contributing factors, including exhaust leaks, secondary converter issues, or internal catalyst failure not immediately evident during initial testing. Regarding the welded exhaust leak: an exhaust leak does not always trigger an oxygen sensor code. Depending on its location and size, it can influence catalyst efficiency readings without setting a specific O2 sensor fault. This is standard diagnostic knowledge. There was no intent to misrepresent which bank was being referenced. If there was any miscommunication, we acknowledge that complex exhaust systems can sometimes require clarification, and we are always willing to explain findings thoroughly. We strongly reject the claim that anyone here lied to your niece or that our service advisor was made to mislead custome

Owner attempted to overcharge for unnecessary repairs and exhibited discriminatory…

Business reply on Google

We take accusations of racism and discrimination extremely seriously. We do not and would never treat any customer differently based on race, background, or ethnicity. Our shop proudly serves a very diverse community here in Charlotte, and we value every customer who walks through our doors. Regarding your TPMS concern, our scan tool indicated multiple sensor faults at the time of inspection. Based on that data, we provided a quote for replacement. TPMS systems can sometimes show intermittent or communication-related faults depending on battery life, signal strength, or prior programming issues. A second opinion may produce different findings depending on the equipment used and when the system was scanned. You were not required to purchase parts from us. When customers bring their own parts, we reserve the right to decline installation in certain cases due to warranty and compatibility policies. This is a standard business practice, not a personal decision. As for the $20 charge, that was for securing a loose underbody shield to prevent further damage while driving. Even small repairs require technician time and shop resources. We understand you were unhappy with your experience, b

Overcharged for repairs and failed to perform oil change correctly

Business reply on Google

We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience. However, we would like to clarify several important points. You originally came in for an oil change and for us to inspect your A/C concern. During our courtesy inspection, we identified a worn strut that was leaking and compromising ride safety. Strut replacement is not a “$150 job” in most cases — that figure typically reflects only the cost of a basic aftermarket part, not labor, taxes, shop supplies, alignment considerations, warranty, and professional installation. The price quoted and approved reflected the complete repair. Regarding the A/C system, the $150 charge was for diagnostic time. Proper A/C diagnosis requires equipment, technician expertise, and testing procedures. Diagnostic work is a professional service, not just “being told what’s wrong.” After testing, we provided an estimate for the recommended repair. You declined, which is completely your choice, and we respected that decision. As for the oil leak claim, we take that very seriously. A vehicle with 50k miles can still develop leaks unrelated to an oil change, such as from a valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, or filter housing. We were not give

Mechanic attempted to steal catalytic converter and charged fraudulent fees.

Business reply on Google

We take accusations like this very seriously, and we want to clarify a few important points. During a North Carolina state inspection, vehicles must be lifted so the technician can inspect required components such as the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and the rest of the exhaust system. This is a standard part of the inspection process and does not involve removing or cutting any parts. Additionally, North Carolina regulations required a $10 tint inspection fee in 2022, regardless of whether the tint ultimately passes or fails. The $23.50 inspection fee is also the standard state-regulated cost for starting the inspection process. Our goal is always to follow state inspection guidelines and provide honest service to our customers. We never remove parts or perform any work without authorization. We wish you the best and appreciate the opportunity to clarify how the inspection process works.
