Staff refused to allow customer to switch to another movie

Hi Deedee. We sell online tickets and have to make sure we have enough spots for people who have paid for that particular movie. We have always stated that your ticket only entitles you to see movies on the screen you paid for. When we're busy we have to keep things as orderly as possible to keep traffic etc. flowing correctly. We don't always have time to argue with folks about the rules.
Poor screen visibility and subpar food quality at the drive-in.

Hi Vicky, we've been warning folks that Obsession is a very dark movie and is so by the directors choice. Not sure if you had a chance to look around at the other screens, but if you did you'd see a pretty big difference. You get 2 movies for the price of 1 regular movie here and our concessions are priced at about 40% less than indoor theaters so finding more of your moneys worth might be a bit of a challenge. :) We also have a dedicated crew to help folks park and get their lights off asap, they do a pretty great job of it considering we have over 1000 cars to help some nights, well its tough to be everywhere all at once. We need a little help from the public there. We wish you all the best. -Tibbs
Poor screen visibility and refusal to provide fresh food items.
Disruptive patrons and secondhand smoke at the drive-in
Lack of noise control and playground supervision during the movie
Significant movie delay and incorrect information provided by staff.
Inaccurate website information regarding scheduled open caption movie screenings.

Hi Christa, I'm the manager you spoke to. Its true that the FAQ is worded incorrectly. Its a relic from when the website was originally built out. Thanks for catching it. I have corrected it. We offer open captions at least once a week and sometimes those days move around because of events. In this case, we had open captions for a Pride Night event on Friday as was requested for a large hard of hearing population attending. We field pretty constant complaints for having open captions, and likely lose some business over it, but we feel very strongly that as many people should be able to enjoy the movies as possible. This is what the rest of the FAQ states that was cut off in the screen grab: " Not all movies have the content, but we'll show any that are available. Check our show times on the schedule page for Open Caption indicators." -Tibbs
Disruptive behavior from other patrons ruined the movie experience.
Excessive wait times caused the customer to miss half the movie.
Staff failed to address patrons smoking marijuana near other customers.

Hey Katelyn, We have been working our hardest to improve the experience at the Tibbs for the last 5 years. A laser projector for Screen 1 is on our Wish List, but they do cost around $200k and there are a lot of other pressing maintenance items we need to take care of, first. Movies set mostly at night are not going to look great due to our inability to alter the content/contrast it for outdoor viewing and the studios refusal to issue "drive-in" content. As for your inconsiderate neighbors, we understand it wasn't a great experience for you and would be happy to give you a pass to come back another evening and try again. On a sold out night, it can be difficult to manage several thousands of personalities!
The business fails to address violent and threatening customer behavior.

Hi Chris, we of course have a 0 tolerance for violence, bigotry, or any inconsiderate behavior. While we can’t account for the idiocy of some people we can certainly deal with issues when they arise. We gave the party you’re referring to a warning previous to any threat of violence, and when the argument between patrons further escalated we removed them from the theater. We are sorry for the trouble, and that a few bad patrons ruined your experience with us.
Patrons flashing headlights and smoking near other vehicles during the movie.
Business reply on Google
Hi Melody, We are on constant patrol for headlights. But with over 1200 people in attendance we can’t be everywhere at once. However, if you ever have an issue with lights or inconsiderate patrons please alert our staff in the lot or concession stand and we’ll handle it right away.
Poor crowd control and safety management at the drive-in theater.

Hey Slocum Family, Let’s address! We fully understand your frustration with the brightness of the film. We have asked the studios repeatedly for “drive in” prints that are much brighter, but they aren’t interested. We do run the brightest bulbs available for our digital projector, and we will occasionally hold movies past the advertised start time to make sure it is dark enough to start the film. When you saw our staff around, they were helping folks get their headlights out and we did respond to a few noise complaints, last night. We encourage any guest who is experiencing an issue with their neighbors to ask a lot attendant for assistance, or come into the concession to let us know. If we can’t solve your issue, we will happily refund your movie tickets. We did have around 1400 other guests with you at the movies last night, but we understand a large drive in isn’t for everyone. We do love the Canary Creek and if that is more your speed we encourage you to visit and support them this Summer!
Poor traffic management, dark screen, and unsafe environment for customers.

Poor movie projection quality and stale popcorn served to customers.
Business reply on Google
We never use the day before popcorn like indoor theaters do. Our popcorn is always made fresh and kept under heat lamps. We butter it upon request (also served warm) and pass it to the customer. Also the projection was updated to digital 6 years ago. Taking a product back and reissuing it is customer service, not an admission of guilt. Also you’ll pay twice as much for yesterdays popcorn at traditional theaters. :)
Staff failed to provide assistance or timely access to stranded vehicle.
Poor screen visibility, audio issues, and unmanaged vehicle light interference.
Poor picture quality, marijuana smoke, and untrained concession staff.
Staff denied entry and provided rude service regarding online ticket requirements.
Lack of traffic control and parking management during movie screenings.
