Customer was overcharged for time and an automatic tip was added.

It was great to speak to you Nick about this review that had us scratching our heads. We are glad we were able to assist you last minute. After our discussion you now understand the charges of your move and realize we have no gray areas for half hour Increments. Everything is laid out on our website regarding charges you incurred and we discussed these prior to your booking. As with any kind of contractor, if you question the charges, immediately address them before payment! If this had been done we would be responding to a better review than β˜†β˜†β˜†. To the readers of this review, we explained to Nick that the charges are $188 for 2hrs which includes $10 trip charge, $40 traverse charge and he had us help move the truck to a safe spot after his move was completed to assist in getting his motorcycle out of the truck. Assisting him with the motorcycle had set him over 2hrs by 15 minutes NOT " seconds ", incurring the additional 1/2hr charge of $44.50. Total job cost was $272.50. Nick assumed the trip charge and traverse fee was a tip we added on. WE NEVER ADD TIPS ONTO ORDERS!! Tips are a customers choice!! WE NEVER HAVE ANY HIDDEN FEES!! We try to keep our rates low for customers, whic

Movers refused to move refrigerator and displayed unprofessional behavior toward customer.

Business reply on Google

Hello Kristen. First off the movers never refused to begin your job! Second, You did not remove the handles! Your boyfriend removed the handles!! That would never happen over an appliance! It is important to let the moving company know all of your wishes at the time of booking! There was no mention of moving a refrigerator in the work order. Your boyfriend measured the fridge and door. He stated it will not go through the door and the movers agreed. You asked about the fridge again and because you was crying that your boyfriend broke up with you during the move and left, the guys decided to try for you. The refrigerator would not go through the door still. THE REFRIGERATOR DID HAVE A PROBLEM FITTING!! ANOTHER LIE!! The guys had to take off your front door to get it out, which they are not supposed to do per company policy! The movers also drove your truck for you, because you had no one to drive it, because your boyfriend left you. The movers unloaded the truck and put the refrigerator in the garage as asked. You asked the movers once more if the refrigerator can be brought up. The refrigerator to be brought up is a lot larger than the one you want taken down. The movers told you t

Company cancelled booking without communicating about assembly service limitations.

Business reply on Google

This is the issue people have with booking through third party websites. It is all automated data base websites. If you book direct with MOVING companies such as ours you will not have these issues and save money. HireaHelper charges you an extra $100 to $120 just to book through their site. Everything you pay does not go to the MOVING companies. We do do assembly but the service is not provided though third party websites. Sorry for your inconvenience!!

Movers damaged furniture and failed to report the incident.

Business reply on Google

Sorry to hear you had damage to your couch. This is the first we have heard of damage. Your job was done on June 7th and you are just now letting us know. Our employees are to report any damage we may do and they always bring it to the customers attention. It may be damage not noticed or damage may have been done from other movers doing your unload. It is not a coward act if you do not notify us of damage over 2 months later. Our US Military Veterans are not cowards maam!!

The company cancelled a previously scheduled moving appointment.

Business reply on Google

At the time you called we did have availability. You did not book with us and just inquired about availability. We cannot tie up a time slot unless you actually book with us and give us information for your move, for which you did not supply any information. We will book up if you wait last minute to try and book. It's sad you hurt our Veteran owned business and our Veterans with this kind of review! Sad!

The moving company broke a television during the move.

Business reply on Google

We did not damage the TV! The TV was properly blanketed and cushioned for moving. We unloaded the TV into the house and it was unwrapped and not damaged as we placed it where the customer instructed us to put it. We continued unloading items into the home and noticed Dennis(the customer) had placed the TV screen face down onto a wooden octagon shaped table putting force down on the TV screwing a wall mounting bracket onto the back pushing the screen onto the corners of the table. The corners of the table broke his TV. He realized he messed up and tried blaming the damage on us! We had several emails back and forth over this and will not replace or refund payment for actions by Dennis Smith that damaged his own TV. Mr. Smith claims the force he was using on the TV with the screen face down on the odd shaped table without cushioning to protect the screen did not break it. This however did break the screen! We placed no blame on anyone other than Mr. Smith! We have extensive training and many years of moving experience and we have never broke a TV!
