Jose, we are so sorry you had that experience at our downtown location. We are located on the 2nd floor in a 10-story secure building that locks between 5:30 pm and 8 am/weekends for safety reasons. We have been trying to find a solution for Anytime Fitness members who visit us from other locations; unfortunately, we did not find a thorough solution in time to help you gain access to our location. For you, we hope you will give us another chance, especially since our location is closer. Please call us at 317-536-0815 during office hours, M-F, 10-5 to make arrangements prior to your next visit. We appreciate your feedback about the signage. We will work to improve our communication for our Anytime Fitness members who visit Indianapolis from around the world.

We have signage outside directly on the building. We wanted one of those bright flashing Las Vegas type signs but city code ordinances prevented us from installing it. We also run our business identical to every other franchisee and are easily accessible if you’re familiar with how elevators work. We hope you had a nice stay in our great city.
The gym requires a specific access card separate from the standard tag.

Hi Kirby, This is just a circumstance of our location. Our downtown building is closed during off-business hours, as all downtown buildings are. We go above and beyond to aide in this process and grant anyone access from out of town. Our members all have building cards for all hours but if we don't know that you're going to be here until you are outside, it is quite difficult to help you out when we are not already inside the building. Its a shame that this circumstance must affect our business publicly when we do as much as we can for individuals in situations such as yourself.

Hi Liz, It seems you were here on a weekend when the building itself is closed. If you are not a home club member you wouldnt have a building card to access the building to get to us on the 2nd floor. We are always happy to accommodate anyone such as yourself but need some sort of notice as we are not staffed on weekends unless for individual appointments. So sorry you werent able to get in. Please give us a little notice next time and we will make it as convenient as possible. Thanks

Hi Callie, You signed up for a trial at our club and so we obviously reached out to you to get you started. You stated that you did not want a tour and furthermore, only to take whatever we were giving for free. Our attempts to reach out to you were not to ask you why you were not interested. Rather, we simply were simply attempting to give you what you asked for. However, to try out a gym, that would require you to set foot inside the club at some point. We wish you good luck in your fitness journey even if it is not with us.

Hi Derrick, Sadly, a keyfob sensor on the outside of the building is not an option since we are not on a ground floor. If all buildings in downtown commercial cities had that option, they would have 97 different doorbells for all of their individual businesses. Contrary to your statement, our members have no issues accessing our club at any time. Since you are not OUR member and we are simply accommodating your one time visit, had you given us any sort of advance notice we could have made arrangements with you to accommodate your needs. Sadly, being ignorant to the landscape of our city & club and not planning ahead to any degree is not conducive to us being able to grant your last minute request.

Hey Carsey, Tell me, can you go shop at the store after they close at night? Does target get a negative review because you can’t get in after 10pm? How about your home? Do you allow people to come into your home without a key when you’re not there? We’re running a business pal. Access to our location is for our family members. They have no issues getting access and they would rather not be bothered by some guy named Carsey when they’re trying to get their workout on. Move along

Hi Samona, thanks for the suggestion. Our voicemail actually has our managers personal number in it. We are always happy to help you out if / when we are able to. Though we do not staff on sundays, our manager Cavin was actually in the gym today but training with a client when you called. In the same amount of time you took to leave this negative review, had you simply called his personal number as instructed, he could have taken a moment to come downstairs and let you into the building.

Hi Mike, We're sorry for the inconvenience you have incurred, but we do have staffed hours posted as well as information regarding the doors to the building. Evidenced by your review you seem to already have knowledge of our door situation. I'm surprised you haven't simply called us to acquire the access card. Contrary to your claim, our location is 100% accessible at Anytime. Our building is locked during non-business hours as we are not the only business inside the 10 story building. Most of those businesses would prefer that people not enter their leased / owned spaces outside of their operational hours. We always do our very best to go above and beyond to help when we know there is a situation or someone needing access outside of normal business hours. However, if we don't know there's a problem.....we don't know there's a problem. It's unfortunate that negativity must be spread when unnecessary. Just give us a call and we will get you a building access card, even if you need it at 7am.

Ryan, I believe you are under the wrong impression. We are absolutely open 24/7. If you read our disclaimer on our website, it says to contact us if you are an out of town guest and would like to set up access to the building during non business hours. We are located in a downtown building and all downtown buildings are locked up during non business hours (anytime outside of 8am-5pm M-F). We will happily provide you an access card to the building during your stay or you are welcome to purchase one for $20 to keep if you will be frequenting our area and would like consistent access.
