Thanks for the comment, Einas, and thanks for the kind words. The entire staff here appreciates it. We are sorry you to hear about your insurance experience. Just to share, we do still participate in ASH/Active and Fit/Insurance at BOTH locations. The only change we can see is that now they are separated in their system. We are frustrated to learn that the provider has messaged that our clubs have halted memberships, but we can assure you this is not the case. Unfortunately, we can't control how Active and Fit manages and communicates their memberships. Thanks for raising this concern to our attention; we'll share with management so they can communicate this issue with Active and Fit. We wish you the best in your fitness journey!
Gym charged unauthorized membership fees and sent account to debt collection

Thanks again for the feedback, Andrew. We are truly sorry to see you go. The Flow team you mention will miss you, but wish you the best in your fitness journey! To clarify- the reason you saw a big impact was a result of changes made by the Active & Fit insurance program, which impacts small businesses like us disproportionately. Legacy members of Flow have seen no changes to their memberships, but sadly insurance programs are out of our control. Occasionally we have to raise prices or change memberships- like all small businesses do- to support our amazing staff, building maintenance, etc. and to continue investing in things like the recent new equipment in our Fremont gym. Unfortunately that doesn't work for all and we truly feel sad to see you go. I will make sure the owner and the managers all get your feedback. Wishing you all the best in your health and wellness!
Customer charged for membership despite canceling after a trial class.

Hi Medha, we're sorry you had a bad experience! It's truly never our intent. We strive to communicate clearly which of our trials and promos are trial memberships that then convert to normal charged memberships, and we apologize for the confusion. I do hope the membership team was able to address your concerns (which it seems like they did). Best of luck in your fitness journey.
Staff denied entry to class due to lack of clear policy.

Hey Peggy, Thank you for expressing your frustrations. We’re so sorry to hear that you were not able to make it into class. While we strive to make our late policy as clear and accessible as possible, when going through a third party system, like ClassPass, we are not able to format our policies as clearly as we do on our website. Our late policy on ClassPass is located on the Flow Fitness business page under “How to prepare” although we completely understand that it is not as easy to find as it could be. We take your feedback seriously and plan to use it to improve the Flow experience for ClassPass users and Flow members alike! Hope to catch you in a class or at open gym time soon! Best, Your Flow Team
Misleading trial cancellation policy and overcrowded gym facility.

Hi Evan! We're so sorry to hear you were unhappy with our 7-day trial. In both the contract and the automated emails and texts that follow, we re-iterate that you may cancel auto-enrollment anytime during your trial. We understand that life can get busy so we also have a grace period for cancellation after the trial is over. Transparency is a guiding value at Flow, so we are disheartened to hear about your unsatisfactory experience. Please give me an email at [email protected] so that we can learn more about your issue and remedy it to the best of our capability.
excessive late cancellation fees and hostile class enforcement

Thank you for your feedback. We’re so happy to hear that you have enjoyed the environment and classes we offer for the past 4 years! We work hard to provide a space that uplifts and empowers all who workout with us. We are sorry to hear your frustrations regarding the late cancellation policy and team members checking in students for class. Our team is always happy to help you sign up for a class with available space, as signing up for class is necessary to attend. While we wish there was no need for late cancellation charges, the reality is that enforcing timeliness is for the benefit of not just our instructors, but our members as well. Our end goal is never to charge fees, but rather to have full classes of people excited to attend instead of stuck on a waitlist, missing out. If you have any questions about our late policy we welcome a call from you at (206) 621-7246 and we hope to see you at your favorite classes again soon!

Hello Karishma! Thank you for expressing your frustrations. We value the feedback of our members as we strive to create a space that empowers everyone who walks through our doors! We completely understand the frustration of missing a class after arriving >5 minutes late, as well as the aversion to cancellation fees that incur when cancelling <2 hours before class. While we wish there was no need for late policies and fees, the reality is that enforcing timeliness is for the benefit of not just our instructors, but our members like you as well. Our end goal is never to charge fees, but rather to have full classes of people excited to be there and not stuck on a waitlist. We hope to see you again in your favorite Flow BollyX class! And should there be any remaining questions about our cancellation policy we welcome a call from you at (206) 621-7246.

Hi Diana! We’re sorry to hear about your frustration with cancellations. We always endeavor to provide clear communication to our community, and we regret to hear that the notification emails and physical posters in the gym space did not properly convey the new policy to you. We are relieved to see that your cancellation fee was waived same-day in order to ease the concerns you expressed with our staff. We are always happy to work with you to ensure that your class experience remains at the highest level! And we want to assure you that the scenario you’ve described has never and would never incur a no-show fee. We’d love to answer any remaining questions you have about cancellations and invite you to give us a call at (206) 621-7246. Hope to see you soon, Diana!

Hi Ben, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your recent experience at Flow Fitness hasn’t met your expectations, and we appreciate you being part of our community. We understand how important it is for members to feel supported, welcomed, and heard — especially during times of change. It’s never our intention to make decisions that negatively affect the member experience, and we’re taking all feedback seriously as we navigate updates to our policies and systems. To clarify a few things you mentioned: Class Schedule: We haven’t made any reductions to our class schedule since the ownership transition. In fact, the current offerings are consistent with what we’ve had in past seasons. We are, however, always evaluating how we can improve scheduling based on attendance patterns and member preferences, and we’re open to suggestions. Late Cancelation Policy: Our updated late cancel/no-show policy was implemented in June to help instructors and members better plan for classes, and to encourage accountability. We recognize this has been an adjustment, and we’ve tried to communicate these changes as transparently and compassionately as possible
New ownership failed to increase class availability as promised.

Hi Sam. Thanks for the feedback. We’re sorry you are feeling the frustration. Summer is always a bit hard on the schedule - if you are willing we’d love to hear more from you at Flow on what classes in particular you are looking for. Either way, thank you for your feedback and we hope you’ll see some of the changes coming and that they fit your needs.
gym charges late fees for missed classes and reduces schedule availability

Hi Marissa, We’re really sorry to hear you’ve had a frustrating experience. We know schedules can change unexpectedly, and our late fee policy was a tough decision — one we made to help manage waitlists and keep things fair for all members. As for the class schedule, we understand how disappointing it can be when a favorite class is removed. We adjust offerings based on attendance and instructor availability, but we’re always trying to create a schedule that works for as many members as possible. We truly value your feedback and are always listening. Thank you for being part of our community. Best, The Flow Fitness Team

Hi Abel, Thank you for your support of Flow and taking the time to share feedback. We hear your frustration, and we're sorry to hear that our future policy change has impacted your experience so strongly. We want to be transparent about why this change was made. We are seeing a continued growing number of late cancellations and no-shows, and many classes are booked to capacity + waitlist - even in the summer. This unfortunately meant that other members who were eager to join a class couldn’t get in — even when spots ended up going unused at the end. Our goal with adjusting the late fee policy is to encourage more accountability so that all members have a fair chance at accessing the classes they love, and keeping the reservation system allows members who travel to plan their classes in advance. Ideally no-one would pay this fee, and spots are all used. Rest assured we're continuing and growing our investments in the community, events, and our staff. Although we can't see when you last visited us (perhaps a different account/name?), we truly appreciate your feedback, and we’re always open to hearing more from our members. Our community is built on voices like yours, and we hope you’

Hi Stephanie, Thank you for being such a longtime supporter of Flow — your commitment truly means a lot to us. Philip we make it transparent that we are offering a 30 day trial membership which inherently means the rate will be higher after the trial. The trial is meant for those who are interested in joining the gym to try us at a low risk price with the intention of paying the full price if they like the gym. This is a common practice in any industry and you can cancel anytime within your 30 day trial with no commitment after your 30 days. We have no issues with 99% of people who do the trial but come across issues with a few that fail to read the terms of the trial before signing up. You used the gym quite often during the trial so it appears that you liked the gym but had no intention of actually joining at our normal rate. There is no intention to hide the terms and we try to make it as transparent as possible and welcome anyone reading this review to review the terms on our website and see how transparent we are. https://www.flowfitnessseattle.com/intro-offer/https://www.flowfitnessseattle.com/intro-offer/ we do offer a trial membership at a significantly discounted rate so people have a low risk way to try us out. Russell, we are glad we were able to find a solution and we try to make our cancellation policy as clear as possible and do waive it in events were people aren't able to use the gym such as injury, pregnancy or moving. Thank you for being a member of Flow Fitness.

Jack, thank you for leaving us a review. We offer a different type of gym that focuses on functional fitness which has been proven to be the best type of fitness for people and purposely don't have weight machines. We offer six squat racks and a lot of open space that those other gyms don't have. Plus you get access to a variety of amazing classes and instructors those other gyms don't offer. We're not for everyone and wanted to offer people an alternative from what is already in the area. Thank you for trying us.
